Zero

Object 'Zero' belongs to the 'Numbers' theme.

Connection to One:

One is equal to the number of numbers less-than-or-equal-to-zero. One is the successor of zero. As a set (in the usual construction of the naturals), zero is the lone element of one. One and zero are often seen together in the pathological construction, "one divided by zero". Anything to the zeroth power equals one.

Metrics
Parity Zero: even. One: odd.

Connection to Two:

Two is the next even number after zero. Two can be written in terms of zero: 2=0^0+0^0 (using the fact that anything to the 0th power is 1).

Metrics
Parity Zero: even. Two: even.

Connection to Three:

Three can be written in terms of zero: 3=0^0+0^0+0^0 (using the fact that anything to the 0th power is 1).

Metrics
Parity Zero: even. Three: odd.

Connection to Four:

Four can be written in terms of zero: 4=0^0+0^0+0^0+0^0 (using the fact that anything to the 0th power is 1).

Metrics
Parity Zero: even. Four: even.

Connection to Five:

Five and zero are, together, the most common rightmost digits of numbers which are arbitrarily chosen. We have a tendency, when required to pick an arbitrary number, to choose one which is a multiple of five, and it happens that multiples of five always have 0 or 5 as their rightmost digit. Similarly, numbers like 50, 500, 5000, and so on, are extremely over-represented in everyday use.

Metrics
Parity Zero: even. Five: odd.
