Facebook
Object 'Facebook' belongs to the 'Top Websites' theme.Connection to Google:
Facebook is one of the few websites which threatens Google. It's perhaps the *only* site which can compete against Google in terms of sheer traffic, and what's more, Facebook contracted with Google's arch rival, Bing, for its own search functionality.
Functionally the two websites are completely different. One focuses on searching the entire internet while the other is a social network. Google has, however, taken some early steps into social networking territory with its Google Buzz project.

Yahoo and Facebook are very different websites. While Yahoo focuses on searching the web, Facebook focuses on being a social network.
Connection to YouTube:One of the innovations of YouTube was the ability to embed videos on outside websites, and Facebook utilizes this very well, automatically embedding videos when they are mentioned in status updates and private messages and so on.
Facebook and YouTube have very different purposes, the former is a social networking site while the latter revolves around uploading and sharing videos.

Superficially there is very little in common between Wikipedia (an online encyclopedia) and Facebook (a social networking site), but actually, one can argue that Wikipedia laid the groundwork which was necessary for the very concept of social networking: Wiki's founder Jimmy Wales invented the whole idea of Web 2.0, of dynamic, user-generated, user-edited content, the backbone of Facebook and all other Web 2.0 sites that followed.
Connection to Blogger:Functionally the two websites are quite different, Blogger is a blogging platform while Facebook is a social networking site. The two sites do have some overlap-- Facebook allows users to write notes which are not unlike blogs, and Blogger has profiles which are not unlike social networking, but ultimately the overlap is negligible and neither site threatens the other. Many bloggers (whether from Blogger or any other blogging platform) make extensive use of Facebook to market their blogs.
Connection to Twitter:Facebook invented the concept of the personal feed, with users posting updates about their lives which are broadcast to their friends. Twitter took this idea and ran with it, making it so that not just your friends can see your updates, but the entire world.
A crucial difference between Twitter and Facebook is that Facebook imposes a 5,000 friend limit, and both friends must agree before a connection is created between them. Twitter has no follower or followee limit, and you can follow anyone you want, without getting their permission. The reason this is important is that it allows people to follow famous celebrities, some of whom have literally tens of millions of followers.
