Connection to Google:

Wikipedia provides such a wealth of valuable content, much of which has absolutely no rival online, that Wikipedia pages routinely dominate Google search results. The websites are a pretty close example of a perfect symbiotic relationship, with Google steering traffic toward the encyclopedia giant and acting as a sophisticated search index on it, while the encyclopedia in turn gives Google great content to feed its searchers.

Functionally the two sites are quite different, as Google focuses on searching and indexing other parties' content rather than providing its own.

Connection to Facebook:

Superficially there is very little in common between Wikipedia (an online encyclopedia) and Facebook (a social networking site), but actually, one can argue that Wikipedia laid the groundwork which was necessary for the very concept of social networking: Wiki's founder Jimmy Wales invented the whole idea of Web 2.0, of dynamic, user-generated, user-edited content, the backbone of Facebook and all other Web 2.0 sites that followed.

Connection to Yahoo:

As a nonprofit organization not at all interested in the search engine market, Wikipedia poses no threat to Yahoo; indeed the two sites enjoy a symbiotic relationship. Yahoo drives traffic to Wikipedia and provides it a valuable indexing service, while Wikipedia gives Yahoo a ton of very valuable content to enhance its search results.

Connection to YouTube:

YouTube is a Web 2.0 website and that whole concept was pioneered in Wikipedia. Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, basically invented the whole concept of letting users dynamically create and edit their own content, which concept lies at the heart of YouTube. The difference is that at Wikipedia, editors create content which is mostly text-based and strives for an encyclopedic flavor, while YouTube editors create primarily video-based content with very little restriction.

Connection to Blogger:

Superficially one would guess that relations between Wikipedia and Blogger would be neutral: both are content-creators but the type of content created and the manner in which it's created are radically different.

But the relationship which should be neutral is actually stained with some subdued animosity. Wikipedia editors reject and distrust Blogger content beyond all reason, throwing out the baby with the bathwater in their zealous quest for professionalism. In the land of Wikimedia, any journalist writing for an obscure local paper is taken as gospel, while Blogger blogs with much greater authority are dismissed out-of-hand because of the medium.
